Scripture: Revelation 1:12-18
Happy Christmas Eve, New Life Church! We did it! We have come to the end of our first Life of Christ series as a church, and tomorrow morning, we will celebrate Jesus. Our prayer is that tomorrow—in the middle of the gifts and all the celebration—we will remember Jesus and talk about Him with our friends and family in a whole new way because God gave us His very best to rescue us from that which we were powerless to save ourselves.
Though this series is coming to an end, we hope that it's not the end but the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of Jesus, as we are only at the beginning of discovering the treasure found in Him! May 2021 be filled with brand-new encounters of Jesus that not only leave us in wonder but compel us to find those who have never discovered the way, the truth, and the life, that their lives can also be transformed.

Question: What has been the most incredible thing you’ve learned about God through the Life of Christ series?
Prayer Starter: Thank You, Jesus, that the word “celebration” has the word “celebrate” in it! I choose JOY this Christmas season, celebrating You, celebrating the fact that You came here to earth and rescued us from ourselves! We love you, Jesus!
Family Chat/Take Action: After dinner, choose some of your favorite Christmas songs and sing them together as a family. Act out the story of Christmas, the story of Jesus’ birth, together as a family, using homemade puppets*, paper dolls, or even characters from your children’s toybox. Talk with your children about why the Christmas story is so important.
*How to Make Puppets: Don’t go out and buy anything, but use whatever you have at home, like paper bags, toilet paper tubes, and even unmatched socks. It doesn’t have to be pretty! Be creative and have fun with it. You can do this, and you’ll be glad you did. :)
